| | Challenge. With its strategic partners, Chabin conducted a comprehensive assessment of Anchorage's economic development services and ability to retain and attract business. Over 75 local stakeholders were interviewed and more than 100 individuals participated in seven industry-specific work sessions.
Solution. We recommended five strategic initiatives: Collaboration, Readiness, Workforce Development, Education, and Business Development. As a result, the private sector took a leadership role in bringing the diverse economic development entities together to implement a comprehensive economic development plan--something that has never happened before. The Muni (city) funded implementation of the marketing and public relations initiative, and partner organizations were working together on the other initiatives. | |
