| | Challenge. Pennsylvania's Northwest Commission was in the process of expanding with more business attraction efforts. They needed help estabishing a regional brand and website that would project a business-friendly image, support the decision-making process, and drive leads to information and local contacts.
Solution. Chabin evaluated the existing regional and county websites from the point of view of a site selector seeking critical location factors for a project. We advised their in-house website development team on navigation and content, as well as brand identity, developing a regional name and tagline acceptable to all partners. The new regional website also incorporated two portals for relevant site location data:
- GIS-based search real estate database: Utilizing the award-winning ZoomProspector by GIS Planning, NWC enables local partners to enter and edit properties, post pictures, plot maps and floor plans--all integrated with GIS mapping and corresponding site specific data reports on demographics, consumer expenditures, businesses and workforce.
- Data Center: Powered by eDataFast, a Chabin technology, NWC has the ability to present 202 data tables (3790 data points) for each of the 8 counties, plus the overall region.
Since implementation of the site, clients have been visiting the region sooner and ranking opportunities in the region higher. | |
